With your custom Store Plan, you can DIY or have us act as a Fractional Ecommerce Director to drive projects forward and prioritize growth.

The Problem

As a business owner, there are numerous projects you COULD pursue, but how do you know which ones to allocate resources to?

Successful ecommerce businesses have the equivalent of an ecommerce director. Though the title isn't important, the role sure is. You need someone focused on understanding your business and target customers first. Someone who is able to ask the right questions, solve difficult problems, and impact costs and revenue. That person must have deep Shopify platform knowledge and broad ecommerce experience to drive your store forward to growth.

But finding that person can be difficult...and expensive.

The Solution

After years of working with some of the largest and most successful merchants on Shopify, and running our own Shopify store, we understand what drives revenue and what doesn’t. We’ll ask thoughtful questions and develop a Store Plan for maximum impact. And because we understand the unique challenges stores face at 6, 7, 8, and even 9 figures and across different product categories, we bring a nuanced approach.

We can diagnose and fix problems, put together a growth oriented plan and implement revenue generating strategies. As a Fractional Ecommerce Director, we'll prioritize and drive your ecommerce projects - freeing you up to focus on your business.

Work with us at a fraction of the cost of a full time hire, with no long term commitment. Learn more in a free consultation

The Founder: Ex-Shopify, Experienced Shopify Merchant & Business Owner

20 Years Helping Business Owners Solve Problems

Andrew Lynch founded Duck River Digital from a Shopify merchant’s perspective - though his path here was unconventional. Andrew began his career as a lawyer helping business owners navigate difficult situations, including debt problems, disputes, vendor issues and many others. He developed a talent for content marketing & website optimization, which allowed him to start and scale his own successful firm. The firm grew quickly and soon he was managing a team of lawyers, paralegals & assistants.

His passion for building websites and scaling online revenue won out and he left law behind to pursue it full time. He started his first Shopify store in 2015, selling briefcases to lawyers. As a merchant on Shopify, Andrew has experienced the highs, lows, challenges and rewards of being an ecommerce store owner. He understands what it takes to build and scale a store, get and keep customers, manage employees, pivot and adapt to challenges along the way.

In that time, he’s seen Shopify evolve significantly as a platform and become the unequivocal industry leader. As Andrew puts it: Shopify just works. That may seem simplistic, but if you've tried platforms that don't, you know how incredibly valuable that is.

So when the opportunity arose, Andrew went in house to work at Shopify. He managed a key accounts portfolio of over $1 Billion in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV). He worked directly with the founders and C-level teams of the largest, most successful merchants on the platform. His role was to help them develop strategies to grow revenue, optimize their store and leverage the platform and app ecosystem to maximum benefit.

Andrew’s ability to quickly understand a merchant’s business, product category and customer base, allowed him to provide tailored solutions that would have the most impact.

This diverse background gives Andrew a unique insight into the challenges and opportunities store owners encounter. He brings empathy, grit and a genuine enthusiasm for ecommerce that’s hard to find.

What Does the Name Mean?

We’re located just outside Nashville, Tennessee near the Duck River. At first glance, the Duck River looks like most rivers in this part of the country. But it happens to be the most biodiverse river in North America - teeming with life. To maintain this status, it must have strong foundational elements, foster a diverse ecosystem and capitalize on its strengths, all while performing a delicate balancing act. We thought this was the perfect analogy for a successful ecommerce store.
